Thanks for stopping by my new blog about kathy's bag. I am excited to share her story with you, along with some information about the bags. I am hard at work in my sewing room right now, and soon I'll be launching a website where people can place orders.
Kathy’s bags are beautiful, handmade carry-alls that were inspired by a woman’s unwavering faith and the never-ending love that is shared between sisters. Debbie Andrews of Spokane originally created the bag for her sister, Kathy Rivet, who was undergoing cancer treatments in Wisconsin. The bags are now a powerful reminder of her sister’s strength and the calming presence of God as Kathy faced her final hours.
We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something!

The original kathy's bag
I was recently in Seattle and thought it would be appropriate to get a picture of the first kathy's bag in front of the original Starbucks. This shot was snapped at Pike's Place Market on Easter Sunday.
